The audit for premium credit cards

Your card advertises $2,000 in credits. How much can you actually reach?

Worth My Fee connects to your cards, reads a year of real spending, and audits every advertised credit against how you actually live — then tells you, card by card: worth the fee, or not.

How it works

Three steps. One verdict per card.

01

Connect your cards

Link your cards securely through Plaid — the same connection service your bank already works with. We read transactions only. We never see your bank password.

02

Tell us what you're loyal to

Hotel status, airline status, elite nights in progress. This is what other tools skip — and it's where the expensive traps hide.

03

Get your audit

Every credit scored against your real behavior: claim it, ignore it, or it's a trap. Then the bottom line per card — keep it, downgrade it, or cancel before the fee posts.

The part nobody else does

Some credits cost more than they give.

Every card app can remind you to use a credit. None of them ask whether you should.

The classic: a $500 hotel credit that only works through the card's own travel portal. Book through the portal, and the hotel treats it as a third-party prepaid stay — your elite status isn't honored, your night doesn't count toward requalification, your points don't post. The credit pays you $500 and quietly takes back more.

Worth My Fee models your loyalty programs alongside your card benefits, so every verdict is net of what a redemption would cost you elsewhere.

Trap detected: Using your card's $500 portal hotel credit would void elite-status recognition on the stays you booked with it — estimated to cost you more in lost upgrades, points, and qualifying nights than the credit returns.

Verdict: skip this credit; it's part of why this card fails its fee test.
Security

Built like it handles your money — because it reads it.

Bank credentials never touch us

Connections run through Plaid using your bank's own sign-in (OAuth). We receive read-only transaction data, nothing more.

Encrypted at rest

Connection tokens are encrypted with AES-256 before storage and are never exposed to your browser or anyone else's.

Delete means delete

Disconnect your cards or delete your account at any time — we revoke bank connections and remove your data. Details in our privacy policy.
