Is the Robinhood Platinum Card worth its $695 annual fee?
Short answer: the Robinhood Platinum Card’s $695 fee is covered by two credits alone, Premium Hotel Credit ($500) and Function Health Membership ($365), if you actually use them, and Premium Hotel Credit voids hotel elite status on the stays it pays for. The catch is cadence: $1,420 of the $2,423 advertised arrives in monthly, quarterly or half-year chunks that expire unused.

What it takes to cover the $695 fee
To cover the $695 fee on credits alone you need to reach $695 of the $2,423 advertised, which is 29% of the headline number. How hard that is depends on when and where each credit pays.
Of the $2,423: $1,420 arrives in monthly, quarterly or half-year chunks that do not roll over, so those five credits need matching spend on schedule, every period, or the money is gone; $500 only pays on bookings made through Robinhood Travel Portal; $1,043 pays nothing until you enroll or activate it; $973 is delivered off the card, as in-app credit, certificates or complimentary subscriptions, which is worth something only if you would have paid for those anyway.
$250 of the advertised value comes from terms the issuer states ambiguously; the catalog marks those unverified and the audit scores them conservatively.
What you actually reach depends on your own charges: the audit matches every credit against 12 months of real transactions, counts what actually landed on the card toward the fee, and shows the rest as upside.

What makes the Robinhood Platinum Card’s credits hard to use
- Monthly credits. Dining Credit, DoorDash Monthly Promo and Waymo Credit: $620 a year, but only if the matching charge lands every month. Five orders in a year on a monthly credit pays out for five months.
- Enrollment required. DoorDash Monthly Promo, DashPass Membership, WHOOP Peak Membership, Function Health Membership and Amazon One Medical Membership pay nothing until enrolled or activated. The audit checks your statement for the issuer’s own credit postings, so an unenrolled credit shows up as exactly that.
- Subscriptions count only if you would pay. DashPass Membership, Robinhood Gold Membership, WHOOP Peak Membership, Function Health Membership and Amazon One Medical Membership are complimentary memberships, not statement credits. Realized value is zero unless you would otherwise have bought them.
Beyond the credits: status, lounges and points
- Priority Pass (Robinhood Platinum), retail value up to $469 a year. Valued per observed flight day, once across your whole portfolio, credited to the cheapest card that covers it.
What it earns
Headline rates, with the conservative point value the audit uses. Earning below a no-fee 2% cash-back card is worth nothing extra; only the premium over that counts toward the fee.

Questions about the Robinhood Platinum Card’s credits
How much are the Robinhood Platinum Card’s credits worth?
$2,423 a year at face value across 11 credits, against a $695 annual fee. Covering the fee on credits alone takes 29% of that. $1,420 arrives in monthly, quarterly or half-year chunks that expire unused. What you reach depends on your own charges; Worth My Fee scores each credit against 12 months of real transactions.
Which Robinhood Platinum Card credits expire every month?
Dining Credit ($20 a month, $250 a year), DoorDash Monthly Promo ($10 a month, $120 a year) and Waymo Credit ($20 a month, $250 a year). Each month’s amount is lost if unused, so the annual figure assumes a matching charge in all twelve months.
Does the Robinhood Platinum Card’s Premium Hotel Credit honor hotel elite status?
No. It pays only on prepaid bookings through Robinhood Travel Portal, which makes the portal the merchant of record. Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt and IHG treat that as a third-party stay: no elite benefits at check-in, no points, and no qualifying nights toward status. If you hold hotel status, the credit typically costs more per stay than it returns.
Which Robinhood Platinum Card credits require enrollment or activation?
DoorDash Monthly Promo, DashPass Membership, WHOOP Peak Membership, Function Health Membership and Amazon One Medical Membership. They pay nothing until switched on; the issuer’s own statement-credit postings show whether that has happened.
What is the downgrade option for the Robinhood Platinum Card?
The catalog lists no cheaper card in this family that the issuer lets you move to, so a failing audit means cancel rather than downgrade.
What does the Robinhood Platinum Card earn on spending?
10× on hotels & rental cars via Robinhood Travel Portal, 5× on flights via Robinhood Travel Portal and 5× on dining (first $50,000 per year), and 1× on everything else. Worth My Fee values Robinhood cash back at 1.0¢ per point, and counts only the premium over a no-fee 2% cash-back card toward the fee.
